Main House Rooms

After more than 28 years in the hospitality industry, I have made the decision to downscale - the two luxury rooms in the main historic home are not offered online anymore.

Both these guest rooms are size 34 m². Because of the 3,6-meter-high ceilings, the rooms are lovely and cool in summer and in winter we find that the clay walls retain the heat very well. They both have working fireplaces - the Victorian fireplaces have been left intact and a small, closed-combustion stove installed using the existing chimney. Die Voorkamer was used by the Standers as their formal lounge and Die Musiekkamer as their informal lounge and housed the piano and other musical instruments.
